The KwaZulu-Natal Cricket Union recently announced the various KZN Coastal and KZN Inland school’s teams for the weeks that will be taking place later in the year.

Following extensive trials the teams have been selected to represent their province in tournaments across the country.

The flagship school’s week is the Under 19 Coca-Cola Khaya Majola Cricket Week that will be taking place in Johannesburg this year. The week will determine who is selected for the SA Schools and SA Schools Colts sides.

Glenwood High School will have the most representatives with five players, while Westville, Northwood and Kearsney have got two players each.

The KwaZulu-Natal Inland Cricket Union have also selected their sides to take part.

Of their Under 19 side for the Khaya Majola Coca-Cola Week the make-up of the side sees four players from Hilton College, three from Michaelhouse and Maritzburg College, two from Msimude High and one from Vryheid High School.

“I want to congratulate all of the boys and girls selected for the KZN provincial teams,” KZN Cricket CEO Heinrich Strydom mentioned.

“Go and represent us with pride and passion. Write your names in history and come back knowing that you did all in your power to be the best you possibly could be.

“We at KZN Cricket back you all the way!”

Former KZN Inland and Hollywoodbets Dolphins player Mbasa Gqadushe will coach the Inland U19 side while Dolphins Academy coach Mduduzi Mbhata will coach the Coastal side.

The KZN Coastal and KZN Inland Under 15 teams are the first teams to take part in their week when it gets underway in Bloemfontein from 8-12 December.
