New lieutenant colonels Patrick Boucher and Sbongiseni Isaac, who began their service together at the Plessilaer Police Station, were both promoted to colonels on the same day at the Mountain Rise Police Station.

The two officers who went their separate ways after their service at the Plessilaer Police Station eventually met again when they each joined the Mountain Rise Police Station.

“It is a great feeling to be promoted with my friend of so many years and seeing our hard work being rewarded,” said Isaac about his promotion alongside his long-standing colleague.

Boucher stated that they have both been acting in the position of colonel since 2015.

“We have been acting in this post since 2015 and it feels great to be promoted in an environment where we can help and attend to the needs of the community,” said Boucher.

When asked of their future endeavours and plans of action, Isaac emphasised their attention at addressing community needs and giving the public the service delivery they deserve.

“Our main focus and aim is on putting the people first,” said Isaac.

“We have accepted this promotion with great humility and are prepared to commit ourselves to service delivery. My pledge is to execute my duties to the best of my ability,” said an optimistic Boucher.

Station commander, Brigadier Pillay, had nothing but words of encouragement for the officers, congratulating the two on their well-deserved promotion.

“I pray they continue to serve the community,” said Pillay.
