Diwali Dhamaka Dance-Off 2018

The Midlands Hindu Society (MHS) would like to give all dance enthusiasts the opportunity to showcase their talent at The Diwali Dhamaka Dance-Off at the Msunduzi Diwali Festival 2018.
MHS spokesman Sherry Mahabeer said this was a wonderful opportunity for dance schools and groups to have fun and stand the chance of walking away with cash prizes. The Dance-Off is open to the public, scholars, university students, youth and senior citizen groups. Groups should have a minimum of three and a maximum of 10 members.
The Diwali Dhamaka Dance-Off will take place at the Msunduzi Diwali Festival on Friday, October 26th at 6pm at the Protea Grounds. There are four categories of participants namely junior, teen, adult and seniors with a cash prize of R1000 for the winners of each category. All you have to do to put yourself in line to win, is put your best dance moves on display. Yes, it’s that easy.
Dance items need to be of Indian origin and each entrant will have a maximum duration of three (3) minutes to set the stage on fire with their dance moves. Winners of The Diwali Dhamaka Dance-Off 2018 will be judged by audience applause. Music needs to be submitted by October 15 – which is also the closing date for entries. Entrance to participate in the competition is free.
For further information on how to enter, contact Judy Umraw on 082 9773 708.
